We will meet and greet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam. We will then transfer to Mikumi National Park by road for the journey of about six and half hours. Its important to leave early in the morning, around 5:30 am to beat the Dar morning traffic jam. You will stop for an en-route hot lunch in Morogoro town.
You will enjoy the drive through the heartland of Tanzania and this will provide you with a great opportunity to see how the local people live (from the road).
On arrival, you can choose to check in and refresh at the lodge and then proceed to the park and enjoy an afternoon to sunset game drive.
There are lots of animals at Mikumi – huge African elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, giraffes, impalas, hyenas, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, hartebeests, crocodiles, lizards, and hippos. The park also has over 300 species of birds that have been observe
